Gesture drawing is more than flow/feel. It’s appreciating the inner narrative the body unfolds. Each action has a story that develops from our livelihood. The way we compose ourselves, the way we walk and the way we stand. Each action is something engineered through repetition.
Due to my schedule I can only stream 2 hours a day. That said I didn’t expect to get emotional seeing people I look up to like @LilyPichu and @K3llyArt in my chat. For a moment it felt like I could realistically make it someday so I kinda broke down.
Telling myself to improve is a difficult task, and having the drive to always try something new is rare. Inspiration is fleeting and goals feel nothing more than pipe dreams. Somedays I wonder where drawing will take me, other days i’m grateful for all it’s given me.
I'm conflicted. I want to draw more powerful looking girls, but I also want to draw cute pokemon fanart.
