I guess to an extent i have this same issue with anthro animals too where 90% of the time i draw them more realistically with clear thighs, calves and toes/feet. But a younger me always just simplified them and maybe sometimes that looks better? its certainly easier... IDK

Have any of yall noticed my CONSTANT flip flopping on how I want to draw dragon legs? I really cant decide if I prefer more simplified "dog legs" or "more realistic" legs and my indecision is so bad that even on Junipers reference, ONE LEG IS ONE STYLE AND ONE IS THE OTHER LMAO
