Today's mythological being is Balayang, the bat. Originated from aboriginal legends in south-eastern Australia, the Balayang is Brother to Bunjil, the Eaglehawk, one of the creational deities from the mythology.

So, for today's #illustration we have the Grootslang! A legendary creature said to inhabit a deep cave connected to the sea in Richtersveld, South Africa.

Our next #watercolour #illustration is the Kumiho, originated from Korean folktales and legends! She shares many similarities with the Japanese Kitsune, as well with the Huli Jing, from the Chinese mythos.

Our creature today is the Brazillian Boitatá! Indigenous in origin, some of it's legends state that the Boitatá protects the jungle from those who intend to harm or burn it.
