Oh, you bet I was ready to start a webcomic, you betcha! It took a bit, especially moving in with Leigh, trying to get through college (and failing), and less time to art. But eventually, I thought I had it all ready. And I posted this:

This became my Thing for FOUR YEARS! Sure, I did regular canon Toyomi yuri and other fan art and stuff, but the Takino-Mizuharas were basically my main shtick. I coined the term "Azu-Kid." Miko's content was akin to Yotsuba's. Except lesbian moms. And Osaka as an "auntie."

DEVELOPING MIKO: As I said, I decided that she was a child of Tomo and Yomi. Because I love Tomo and Yomi. And they have a kid somehow (science!)

Her original full name was, legit, Koyomiko Takino-Mizuhara. I couldn't decide what the dorks would decide to use as a surname lol

A few days later, I would try to draw her digitally. I still used Pixia at the time...as well as tiny Wacom tablet. TINY TINY. Graphire 4 I think?

Anyway, THIS is the pic I showed to the world:

She relates to their backstories (in a way. Even as a kid, she at least associated with the "loner" aspect) and a want to help others with the strange powers they were given.

Her mom didn't like her enjoying a "boy's show," but her dad encouraged her to play.

The goal of these challenges are to, well, challenge oneself to not just practice various expressions, but to also give your character versions of those expressions that fit them

And boy, does Miko get so annoyed when Tomoko trolls her

Miko was scared of her mom at first, but her loving father helped negate a little of that. And then, when she met Sachiko and HER mom, the fear turned to hate. She rebelled a lot more with Erika as time went on, and of course Erika blamed it on Sachiko

At least that gave Kentaro a chance to pursue his dream. He wanted to be a police officer and be more on the frontlines of helping people. That was his reasoning.
Through all this, he made sure his family was cared for...much to the annoyance of his wife.
