Laura and Yuki met pretty early on when Yuki moved to France. Laura saved her skin from some bullies, and they had a sort of kinship as both being foreigners there. Laura had the visible crush, but, unlike Rie, she actually confessed her feelings and now they're dating

To clarify: Rie is the one with a crush. As a teenager, while she *did* also have some celeb-level attraction to Sachiko, it was her idea of a ruse to see if Yuki would ever get jealous (it failed. You gotta be overt!)

It is currently on a hiatus while we rework the first part of the story to be more cohesive to what the plot turned into by Pt 2. As mentioned in the OP, you can enjoy it in two different ways!
