An extra thing to note: This is actually the reason Yukina is the only bespectacled character to have fogged up glasses as part of her facial repertoire - again, to hide the eyes.

But, there were just some things were I couldn't hide it

By Chapter 3, which is fitting as that was where we learn a double-whammy (Ascendant AND parentage), I was getting looser on that restriction

Compare to Miko in the same early pages. Nah, you could tell there was something different about her from the get-go

So, my idea was to hide the most obvious sign of Ascendantness - those dang eyes - by drawing glasses by breaking the rules a little. Forget perspective or how they sit on the face at different angles

She got some very face-fitting glasses, huh? You can SEE the lines, sorta.

Even in the comic, I already tossed an Ascendant in the background here and there to show there's more of them out there, though I personally felt like showing that Yuki was one may be TOO much?
