@goji_jay I think some shots can look better than others. The design itself looks good from the front, but because of the in-between drawing, may look odd. Common thing in animation

Why would Godzilla go to Manhattan? It offers protection with multiple buildings to use as cover and ambush threats, give him better camouflage options, offers places to make into a nest, surrounded by water with food.

@OG_Zimzilla99 Im sure you can take any Godzilla and say the power scaling doesn’t make sense. He was aggressive in the film and series, sure mostly when threatened but aggressive non the less. Why take the fun out of if with realism?

Though radical, I feel the 98 design could be brought back as Godzilla. I despise the whole “Godzilla subspecies” , and would personally want to see the design come back in future projects because this Godzilla is capable of doing so much unique things traditional Gojis can’t.

I feel this design should be PatoGoji, after it’s designer as the incarnation itself. The one from the original movie I would specifically call EmeGoji. Does Jr have a nickname?

Personally, I view Godzilla 98 as a separate incarnation from the Godzilla mythos that came before him. A true reinvention and Emmerich set out to do, while retaining core aspects of his origin. He ignored his mythology created by the following films after the original.
