I watched it recently. I still don't get it. But there's no doubt its made its mark. I'll give it this. Fukuda and Nakano can put together a movie under the worst conditions better than most in this genre.

Godzilla S.P. is all about high concept. It's not a character driven series, but they work b/c their fascination/enthusiasm for the concept invest us in it too.
Reminds me of Tenet. So if you're not a Nolan fan/don't love wonderful, pretentious, sci-fi douchery it's not for you.
Yes, SRS confirmed they only do this at the request of retailers, but good gravey this movie deserves better than the mockbuster marketing.
It's unfortunate.
