I think my favourite picture book of 2019 is Pokko and the Drum by Matt Forsythe. It's brilliant in every possible way and this must be my new favourite line in kidlit - "No more eating band members or you're out of the band" :D

Though I left this guy to guard the fort for me. He bites! 😁
