Once spoken: "Taking a minimalist approach will make your team logo easily recognizable, memorable and versatile. Simple logos also hold up better over time than busy logos do." Well... in sports, that's not a formula for brand success necessarily.
@Deadspin And please don’t forget the OG octopus in HockeyTown... AL the OCTOPUS.
Best of all, a logo that takes the King out of the equation, and lets the customers see themselves as royalty every time they bake.
Hey, Mr. Oats... better get that resume polished up and posted on LinkedIn. @kingarthurflour
Evolving to a more graphic system for King Arthur Flour might have been key in salvaging the more heraldic-style identity. Peelable branding. https://t.co/I1mjLzbWdS
@EricAPigo Stay with me on this.... the horrible graphic (but cool pose) on the left re-rendered in the powerful style in the upper right within a roundel... and orange and tan colors like the original mark.
These defunct WHA Crusaders and NHL KC Scouts logos provide one option to rebranding the King Arthur logo. Would modernizing the KAF logo as a primary and using the simple version for packaging make sense? Think MLB Yankees full logo and NY cap variations.
@wafflebored I was actually surprised @NHLkraken was approved considering the brand power of the @DetroitRedWings octopus w/all the tradition and history the team has built around this now legendary squid! @sportslogosnet @UniWatch @PhilHecken @ShopHockeytown
@SportsCenter @NHLSeattle_ Created this four years ago for SEADRAGONS. 👏👍😀
