Character Exploration Day 5!
You hear the sound of a large glass bead rolling along a wooden surface.
Meet Marble!
Male | Kenku | 2020
The second longterm D&D character I've grown fond of, Marble embodies curiosity and mischief. So much mischief..
Today's a bit shorter for diving into Aussir as a character, but if you have any questions for me, or for him, please go right ahead and ask!
I'm really happy with Aussir as a character. He wasn't necessarily a goal I had when I started playing D&D with Yip Yip, but it was an incredible experience to build on a character over two or so years. What can I say, I grew attached to him, both as a kobold and as a dragonborn.
Fluent in both mundane and magical healing, he continued his role of supporting others, and providing aid to those he encountered on his journeys. In D&D terms, he remained a life cleric all the way to Level 15, where the campaign ended.
Character Exploration Day 4!
A continuation of yesterday, meet Aussir!
Male | Platinum Dragonborn | Early 2020
Aussir is who Yip Yip became after the in-campaign Rite of Rebirth. He's more matured and a product of the lessons he learned throughout the D&D campaign.
So until tomorrow, if you have any questions regarding Yip Yip, feel free to ask me, or him, directly!
Yip Yip grew a lot, as a character. Fighting dangerous creatures, solving puzzles, saving the lives of his friends and others, and making difficult decisions that were not totally black and white.
This culminated, story-wise, into an interesting scenario.
Yip Yip was a lot of fun to play! A little kobold, heading out to the big world for the first time, yearning for adventure.
Many in-game jokes became subjects of art pieces as well. Like his newfound love of pies, and his copy of the Dragon Compendium - a picture book of dragons
His design is fairly simple and straightforward. white kobold, grey horns, blue eyes, and a caduceus tattoo.
I wanted horns that were short and out of the way, so that was the biggest specific thing I chose when designing him. He's a fairly standard kobold otherwise.
Consistently roleplaying a character for over a year, with a solid group and wonderful DMing, you get an opportunity to not only watch the character grow, but to grow as a person, yourself. The situations he was in, the friends he found, the choices he made, they had an impact.
