Truthfully I can't really say a lot on TriFocuser though with what I have played, it is refreshing to have a scene game return to the methodical "capture x photos" and the Momiji mode looks like a fun extra which seems like a remix on how VD did things.
Also the unlockable overdrive spell cards are a funn take that seem inspired by... A game I think I completely forgot about oh good gravy thread ruined.
Oof 1: It's a Reimu, Marisa, Youmu game revealed a week after WBaWCs reveal
Oof 2: Story goes to hell (albeit former hell)
Oof 3: Animal themed oni and a taotie
Oof 4: Final boss likes creating stuff
Oof 5: Rainbow Dragon Cave with an actual rainbow dragon larva
I do really really like Infinte Blade Pavilion, as another game with danmaku design by Len it's as thrilling as you'd expect his design to be... Oh boy how I cry how this game unintentionally bumped into WBaWC, UM and Gyoukou Ibun all at once.
At least a side shout out to Haru TH's music reupload channel for at least having the name and picture of Azuma for a bit. This game did at least intergrate significance through that person... I dunno if I'm wrong on that though.
There are two other things the game has going; 2 loops of the main game that's 3 stages long and unravelling the mystery to unlock Extra... As someone who wasn't great at STGs at the time and didn't know Japanese at all, this was PAIN.
Mystical Power Plant is a game I'm honestly mixed on. On one hand it's really creative with its lore and character design... But man I've struggled to really have fun with the game. Still a pretty important fan game bringing attention to the then new version of danmakufu.
The Last Comer I remember being pretty significant in terms of it being a danmakufu game at the time. While it's definitely dated, it was very much loud and proud of what it did and honestly I can still get down with what it did well.
I know that sounds clown-ish with the title screen but trust me, the only thing that isn't a meme is the art that very much mimics alphes design logic.
And I'm very glad that they at least persist via cameos in some future Kaisendo games.
So technically first off I might bring up what western fans dub as "Heaven Desires". I can't say I played it at all and the DL link for it seems to be dead so... All I can really say from the looks of it, rough as hell but at the very least the original characters look nice.
