Robert Venturi argued for a Disneyesque Champs Elysées for Euro Disney. No sequence of trees leading up to the Arc de Triomphe but two-dimensional neon lit Disney characters leading to a Magical Castle, and ofcourse to his hotel at the end of Avenue Paul Séramy.
When designing EuroDisneyland Imagineers went head to head with their main competitor; Paris and Europe. Wathever they designed coudn't be inferior to the art, architecture and true craftmanship that was on display down the road. DLP is so close to the cradle of Art Nouveau (1/2)
