Hey #artistsontwitter
We’re a married sapphic couple who make LGBTQ+ comics and pins!
@johnnytosty Never made a ref sheet I guess but our squishy sonas are in a few comics
Fallacy 2: “Cure”
Cure might be possible for some cancers, but hormone+ breast cancers are not called “cured” by doctors. It can hide & recur.
I am NED— aka “no evidence of disease.” I hope to stay that way for a lifetime, so I have to take meds with unfortunate side effects.
Fallacy 1: “Womanhood”
When I got diagnosed, The Brand was everywhere and it was pretty alienating.
Eventually I found a small queer-friendly discord of young cancer patients. A rare space that understood:
✨We’re not all women.✨
When pan, omni, & polysexual groups face similar systemic issues to Bi folks like me, it makes sense to include these groups in advocacy initiatives!
Awareness weeks are advocacy initiatives, not spaces to gatekeep.
As a Bi Sapphic, I think we are stronger together!
