@GenuineComics Not sure what you mean, but I´ll answer anyway. A character becomes a character when he/she/it gains some sort of independence from the author, when the author is able to grant it a proper voice, when it stops being a tool.

@petersimeti My point is that since we don´t NEED to live, since we WANT to live, we are not reactive. "Weathering a storm" is a defensive thing, I am so tired of stories like that, that leave all the actual impetus to the "villain". No, the heroic thing is to be proactive, to do without need
