Col John A Ievers (1737-1791) https://t.co/0lKrNJPTY2 30th Foot was wounded & lying helpless on the field at the Battle of Bunker Hill in June 1775 when he was rescued by his faithful soldier servant John Mackay who received a farm near Belvoir Co Clare in gratitude. @karenievers
