Still taking place in the same universe as 1, Siren 2 introduces a new setting called Yami Jima (LITERALLY "Darkness Island") and follows a new cast of characters who are, predictably, got involved with some serious supernatural events that occur on the supposedly-missing island.

Not only it has no way out, but the village is also crawled with reanimated corpses of the deceased villagers called "Shibito" (lit. Dead Person). These Shibitos can be subdued, but CANNOT be killed permanently as they'd revive after a certain amount of time.
