Like last time, Linus is the one who suddenly brought up about Val, but this time he said he saw Val outside without an umbrella, so he must be in panic since it's raining hard. Right on that time, a disaster just happened—and it's happened right after Linus's fishy smile scene.

Next time, he was visiting with Eva. (Orias, seriously, lock your door) Then, when he was "talking" with Val, he wore a little unhappy/dissatisfied face when Eva's calling him to help her, interrupting his talk with Val. He's leaving with mysterious smile after that.

Here's the scene about Linus and and the cakes. He did it again, interrupting Val and Orias's talk while bringing a cake frome Eva. (Ha, lies!)
When Marc was doing an errand, he found Linus handwriting in the shopping list, said "cake". Marc also said that's not the first time.

I mean, Linus was even lying that Eva told him to give Orias a cake so he can visit Orias room. He don't like Orias, so he absolutely not coming for Orias. I don't know how close Linus is with Val, but there's one time Linus said that Val is his close friend. (Next post)

This is the first time Linus saw Val long after chapter one and he approached Orias' room right after that. I'm sure he want to see Val, trust me.
