A freehand experiment. I chose the 1st colours my mind associated with him (blue,purple, orange) and went with the flow. The eyes were wrong at first, making him look like a different person. Then he appeared, slightly eerie, still characteristically him.

I fell in love with pastel pencils. I can't believe I had never used them before. I only had a black, a white and a sanguine until I bought some hues of pink/brown. I took a picture of myself specifically so I could try them all in the same sketch!

Sometimes I fall in love with photos that look like paintings. Something in this picture - intensity of the kiss, movement, shadows - reminded me of the Sistine Chapel.

A quarantine watercolour. The reference was a dark screenshot taken from this movie's trailer (supposed to be released this year, but who knows now?) Re-sketched the face 3 times because he kept looking weird. He ended up merely cross-eyed.

I accidentally started a rewatch of The Office and it couldn't have happened in a better moment. It has become one of my comfort tv shows and, for some reason, I have strong feelings for this favourite awkward couple.

Rosamund Pike. Possibly the most beautiful photo of one of the most beautiful actresses I know. I turned it sepia-coloured instead of black and white. Thought I was going to have trouble with the shadows, but the difficult part turned out to be the hair!
