Picture the scene. Putin & Lavrov sat at a table. Putin says we need a name for our invasion of #Ukraine. Must sound like Special Forces - short & clinical. Lavrov mumbled SPECIAL... then Putin remembered his Botox operations & shouted OPERATION. Meanwhile 153 days later in 🇺🇦.

June 17th 2014 Russia was busy invading eastern #Ukraine. And Russian troops shot down flight #MH17 killing 298 people including 80 children.

But no mass sanctions were imposed on 🇷🇺. Instead many world leaders lauded Putin.

And today 🇺🇦 is paying in blood for that appeasement.
