If I'm going to plug anything it would be for you all to watch Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid!
I think the center piece of what makes many of KyoAni's works amazing is their characters.
From the choice of VA to even the littlest gestures in a single frame, everything is sold because of how these fictional people act & react. Its how the medium can express itself uniquely.
"KyoAni finds a way" might of been a meme but it comes with good reason.
Outside of the presenting lessons of choice, identity & coping, purpose, & community, so much of what they make is just... freaking beautiful.
These moments can tell so much behind a passionate team
Kyoto Animation handled life lessons & the human condition incredibly well.
Many lives were changed or forced self-reflection from anime's iconic moments..
Cherishing each day, the definition of family, bullying & redemption, self-improvement... all because of these scenes
Hearing about the arson incident at KyoAni breaks my heart.
This is a studio responsible for many life changing series that got many into the anime community through their direction & handcrafted personal details. I hope everyone involved recovers soon.
