rewatching the iron giant
i thought the animation was good before, but now i think this is some of the best character animation i've seen in traditional animation or otherwise
some of the headcrab's animations. i made these with the hl1 animations in mind, though i wanted to add a little more weight and fluidity to them
per the suggestion of @Ciefstatten i've been using phong warp to try and emulate chrome textures from HL1 in source, and these are my results so far
for this initially i wanted it to be extremely close to chuck jones 1997 concept art for it. i looked at that art as kinda the true idea behind the design that would be better to focus on over a 1:1 islave remake, but i ended up pulling from dhabih art as well to make it a mix
most of the animations. i still have more to do for it but i'm pretty happy with how they're turning out. during animating it i bought the eadweard muybridge book animals in motion to assist me with the movements of these creatures, and it made this one a bit different
currently working on gman's body! it's an edit of the original mesh with different proportions and things changed around to be closer to hl1's gman, and obviously new textures
