All this time Vikki has a tiny pet called Dusty.
Its a rugmuncher, a creature common in their area.
Its more like a stray that you put food out for now and then rather than an actual pet.

@MourningFREAK I almost forgot about their newest addition.

A babysitter tossed the kids in a pen with this thing thus it came back with Leo home.
