Sex Pistols - Holidays in the Sun/Satellite (1977). Jamie Reid's rear sleeve design is based on Situationist artwork featured in Christopher Gray's book, Leaving the 20th Century. (Via @relevantlawyer ).
Gene - I Can't Help Myself (U.S. edition on Sub Pop Records). Cover star is Betty Boop in Bamboo Isle (1932).
Clara Bow by Hungarian artist, Geza Kende. Commissioned by Bela Lugosi & painted in 1929, the picture remained with Lugosi until his death in 1956.
The marvellous artwork of Polish artist, Wlastimil Hofman (1881-1970).
The Cure - Japanese Whispers (1983). The superb sleeve art features a row of Victorian cherubs from a paper scrap sheet.
Paul Albert Steck - Ophelia Drowning (1895). As seen on the rear album sleeve of Celebrity Skin by Hole (1998).
