I got a new tablet recently, and to celebrate I wanted to do a quick material study for metal/armor! I really enjoy seeing how much I've improved in the last year or so (or at least since the last time I tried to paint armor).

I finished this a few days ago and keep forgetting to post it, so here it is! I'm trying to do more rendered character designs, so this is a start!

Set in the same world as the last illustraton I posted- an old escape pod lost in the swamplands.

I don't usually go for this long format in illustration, but I had a lot of fun with this!

I'm taking a class right now that's just environment art, and I'm really enjoying it! The prompt for this project was "tropical"

I did these for last quarter's character class!
