Back on the subject of heights, let's compare NiGHTS and Reala. The general takeaway is that NiGHTS and Reala are nearly the same height. However, it can be observed in remastered NiD and in Journey of Dreams that NiGHTS' head is higher, while Reala's "hat" is taller.
NiGHTS has a surprised face in the Saturn version of NiD. In-game, this face's mouth is completely black. However, the texture is actually designed to use a different color for the tongue. Using colors matching one of NiD's hints, I tried to reconstruct how it was meant to look.
Verols are chameleon-like nightmaren enemies in NiGHTS into Dreams. Appropriately, they can occasionally disguise themselves as blue chips. The appearance of these fake blue chips is different between the original Saturn game and the HD remake, as clarified in the alt text.
Another difference between the versions of NiD concerns NiGHTS' facial expressions. In the Saturn game, NiGHTS blinks periodically and gasps in surprise when hit. In the remastered version, none of these things occur, the alternate face textures having been removed.
The NiD nightmaren Crewle & Pole consists of two creatures: A blue frog named Crewle and an orange tadpole named Pole. They essentially function as one joined enemy, being credited as Crewle & Pole in the ending. However, an unused title card shows the word Crewle alone.
