Baba Yaga has power over day and night, speaks w/animals, and knows things. And she could take form of a beautiful maiden, yet chooses not to. In many tales, Baba Yaga is not just a witch; she can be good or evil, or both, and still be powerful.

Cinderella was adapted by Charles Perrault in 1697, under the name Cendrillon. He added features to the story: a pumpkin, a Fairy Godmother, and glass slippers.
His Fairy Tales book published in 1912 featured the beautiful works of Edmund Dulac.

Tinker Bell is a fairy in J. M. Barrie's 1904 play & 1911 novel Peter & Wendy. At times bad tempered and other times kind, extremes in her personality are due to a fairy's size preventing more than one feeling at a time.
