Amazing, yet dark chapter.
Kaido pulls yet another trick out of his bag. He’s TOP 1 in the verse for a reason. This seems to be the final clash between Luffy and Kaido, maybe a flashback coming soon?
Denjiro finally kills Orochi, satisfyingly.

The way Kaido says that winners need no excuses, it’s clear he’s also trying to tell himself that. He still regrets defeating Oden due to a distraction. His reaction to CP0’s interference suggests he himself doesn’t believe what he’s saying. He wants to win fairly.
