Hello again.
I thought this was a charming Illustration and on researching I found it was ‘Smoky Bear poster for the US Forestry Service, Bird Activity.

I haven’t posted Rafal Olbinski’s paintings for ages so here he is. A polish artist living in America . I like his work because it is always clean looking and neat. His use of bright colours attracts the eye.

Jill Barklem (1951-2017) It was a sad day when Jill Barklem died, but she left us all a wonderful legacy with her Brambly Hedge books. Everyone loves the intricate illustrations and characters she created,

Svetlin Vassilev again but this time in Acrylics . ‘Europa’ ( detail of) Sexist comment alert...I thought this artist must be male because although the pictures are stunning they lack prettiness....

I’ve just found a new Illustrator of ‘Classic’ books and the colours also fit in with my timeline so far. ‘Titania ‘ by Svetlin Vassilev in Watercolours. Bulgarian artist who lives in Greece

Finally for our February paintings etc Illustration from ‘Nature Notes of an Edwardian Lady, a companion to Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden. (1871-1920) Lovely books to have. Posthumously published as she fell in the river and drowned out hunting for flowers
