I often visit the Red Dot Gallery online to see if they have new artists and I found this fab painting. The Library at Blickling Hall Norfolk was the inspiration for this painting by Annette Bird ‘Liber Amantes’ Oil on Linen Canvas.

Christmas Day is the perfect time to post Anton Pieck’s (1895-1987) beautifully detailed illustrations. Personally I love the bells. The others are all Christmas related I think! Fabulous Illustrations from this Dutch artist

Margaret Winifred Tarrant (1886-1959) She’s best known for illustrations like these usually young children in a variety of subjects. I chose these because they are Christmassy. Her books are now becoming collectible.

This is La Ghirlandata and Veronica Veronese Alexa Wilding (1847-1884) the model and Rossetti painter. She was his model and muse and there are more paintings of her than Elizabeth Siddall, Jane Morris or Fanny Cornforth. I didn’t know that!

These made me laugh.. Bill Bell is the painter of two lots of skating Nuns and ‘Junk Yard Cats’ (the first one ) and I’m not sure what is happening the other !
