Looking through my old comics, it occurs to me that tho I got interested in comics at age 5 in 1982, It wasn’t until I was 10 in 1987 that I had a regular source at the newsstand. I lived on thrift store & rummage sale back issues for 5 years!

Rereading the very first comic I ever read, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 230 for research, & realizing it has some incredible comic book specific storytelling techniques in it.
