The face still has color because its one of the few parts I work directly with color, for the rest I prefer to work with this B/W method and then apply color layers with blending options or a gradient map, this is the result before and after
After all the mayor pieces are done (clothes will be done later) its time for the more tiny parts, specifically the faces of each character, this time I try to take a more general approach so other time I'll explain more in detail how I make a face.
So after the sketch is done is time to actually start the real pic, since its easier to work with layers I make multiple "pieces" each with its different color, every part of the pic you see with an outline is a different piece in separate layers
