For those in the creative industries, professional bodies are super helpful—but can be price-restrictive. Many now have more affordable tiers for those on low incomes, and you might decide that even the higher memberships are worth it for insurances, legal advice and support.
And because all these situations are individual and probably require further discussion, we talk about where you can get legal help—spoilers, it's a union!
