Two new paintings are going to be started soon! 18”x6”and 18”x12”…I’ll post updates as soon as they have begun.
In the meantime the family portrait I’ve been working on for weeks will be finished within a couple of days :-)

In art college we had to recreate one of our favourite works of art. I chose a study for “Christina’s World” by Andrew Wyeth. I love Wyeth‘a precision mixed with a gorgeous fluidity. This was so much fun to do :-) (both are watercolour, mine is the 1st one, Wyeth’s is the 2nd).

4 paintings from 4 years participating in the it. Each year TAE takes place in a different city & a local charity is chosen to which all exhibition proceeds go. 💜

TY to my dear friend for the pics!

All oil on paper, all 4”x6”, priv coll, Norway.

Still some of my favourite clouds I’ve ever painted. I varied brushstroke directionality to emphasize volume, and the paint with its wonderful viscosity...what a heavily-laden sky it was that day in Wesleyville!

“Storm over Wesleyville”, oil on canvas, 36”x24”, private coll.

The weight of quiet, steady contentment is where my paints aim to gather and pool.

This painting is finally complete! “Calm”, oil on panel, 18”x24”, private collection. 🔴

Art can be many things, but one thing it can’t ever be is rushed.

In 2003 I was in a 9-5 job that I disliked. I painted in the evenings because I knew that I wanted to be a full time painter & could be, if I worked hard.
I am thankful for that job bc it propelled me on to embrace my avocation as vocation.
“Margaret”, oil, 18”x18”, priv coll.
