Thus, my one layer journey began. I understand that this is not for everyone. 100 layers is ok too!
I find my new process more freeing. That "mistakes" will be a part of the piece's charm.
Some of my favorite parts.
I've purposely left out any unrefined lines, scribbles, and scratches.
Doing oil painting taught me that mistakes are ok.
The club is responsible to make sure that everyone will have a happy valentines!
What if she's also a club president? Like one of my favorite characters, Haruhi Suzumiya.
Of course, I supposed my audience won't want a rendition of a man abducting a woman on Valentines day. So I draw a cute girl as "Cupid" instead.
Now back to the main piece, Love Club. I was inspired by one of my favorite pieces by William-Adolphe Bouguereau.
The Abduction of Psyche
I took a lot of interest from the old masters of Rococo and Neoclassicism.
The Swing by Jean-Honoré Fragonard

Today, I would like to share the creative process of Love Club.
I'm not a writer so please bear with me (,,>﹏<,,)
