I grew up by the sea. My dad would drive us from Mexico City to the coast in his Barracuda, several times a year throughout my childhood. On the beach he filmed us with his super 8 camera creating the sequences that became my silent, mute and sunny memories.

Today, facing a new strain of the virus as a global community, I remember the feeling of making these drawings back in March.

This is how I envision the 'soul' of the flowers

Ciudad Juárez is located on the Mexican border with the United States, in the middle of the Chihuahuan desert. Since the 1990s it has been infested by the murder of women whose bodies are found 1/4

The Dandelion flower 'Taraxacum officinale' is a perennial plant and is one of the weed flowers that grows behind Wadsley Churchyard. I think that it has a soul and I tried to capture it in this drawing.
