A runner up would be Zeo, with the twist being that they're mysterious to everyone else. Nobody really knows what they're up to, and they can't speak.
The twist is that they're the main protagonist/pov character.

Out of all of my ocs, it might be Hector Bleak from my Blank universe.
No one really knows what he is or how he got the way he is, and he's fighting both the main party as well as the alien forces.
