In 2019 I really found my voice as an artist. I developed a style I love, and periods somehow became a huge part of my growth as an artist.
2018 comes around, and a friend says, “oh look, today’s menstruated hygiene day!”
I quickly sketch these for fun, and share them. I think they’re fun and cute, but they quickly become my most shared and popular pieces.
So, a year ago I drew the self portrait on the left, and thought it was the best I’d done so far. If you’d told me then that in a year I’d be drawing like the image on the right, I’d never have believed you. Self-growth is amazing, y’all!
I doodled @iamnotlucymoon this evening and it’s my favourite thing I’ve drawn in aaaages.

#internationalmenstrualhygieneday should be every day, so here’s another illustration.
