@Primal_Creation I've actually been thinking of doing one! This is a _really_ old piece. I'm slightly shocked I hadn't done another since, especially as Leaellynasaura is a favourite of mine.
'Come fill the Cup, and in the Fire of Spring
The Winter Garment of Repentence fling:
The Bird of Time has but a little way
To fly – and Lo! the Bird is on the Wing.'
~ Quatrain VII, Edward Fitzgerald's translation of Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám
A sparrow with a colour mutation called 'brown': the incomplete oxidisation of eumelanin, resulting in a pale 'golden' appearance. Watercolour referenced from a photograph by @ChrisDPiazza, 2021. Apparently (and shockingly) the only sparrow painting I've made.

@Primal_Creation @jackthevulture Well, now, I shall need to put that to the test...
Sold yesterday on @everydayorig. 🙏
The Cock and the Jewel. Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, 132 × 85 mm. A few tiny changes to the version I shared earlier made a big difference. Much happier with it now. ☺️
