I am not 100% sure yet but I think he did the official item art for Link to the Past. Based on his style, and the guides that do and don't have him credited, I can't think of what else he could have done: https://t.co/Y4EpSwbdam
I made another cool discovery yesterday. The artist who did my favorite Zelda map, in the German LA guide, is most likely the "Let's Find Pokemon" artist, Kazunori Aihara | 相原和典. By process of elimination using the credits his name is the most likely & it's the art that fits!
@linkerbm Maybe Murata did the items?
Though, weird, the US LA guide doesn't have hand-drawn maps but Nobuhara is credited as an illustrator.. maybe he did both maps and items...? (or maybe the cover art map?)
I just figured out another official Zelda artist. I'm having a freakout. Matsunori Iwamoto. The post about a LttP/LA map https://t.co/mTyJJXOmtP that showed Mario statues? He has one in this guide manga & he's a listed illustrator in the LttP & LA official guides. My guess:
One more little set today of this Zelda art that had never been scanned before. Link fighting Trinexx! I really love these. The artist is skilled with such nice linework and form.
From a magazine for younger children. A Link to the Past . ゼルダの伝説 . 神々のトライフォース
I've 1200-2400dpi scanned & uploaded that little Zelda 1 guide I was posting art from last week. There's not a ton in it but most of it is adorable: https://t.co/xXMYcE9RwM
Sorry it took so long! IA wouldn't derive the last upload so I finally just deleted it & started over
@HUnewearlXZR Cool!
& yeah, there's so many scanners that I can't say for sure on that one but for anyone reading:
The small ones often do have options for going higher but it's kind of faked (pic 1)
Scan anything neon-ish and if it bleaches it out consider another scanner too (pic 3&4)
Here's some more absolutely awesome & rare Hyrule Fantasy (Zelda 1) art from the 1986 Bandai board game that I just uploaded. This style is just so freakn' cute!
Fans made it possible to play the game too. Info for it is under each image in the gallery: https://t.co/n4xUqtew4v
@baddate Mine too. It's wild what the color difference is between what they printed in Hyrule Historia (blue) vs Nintendo Power (gray) Also, the guide I touched up has far more image showing the lower arch, but these have a little more of the decorative wall art
