The remains of Platygonus are often found in caves, sometimes because they were dragged there by predators, but apparently also because they sought shelter from the elements there. Sometimes dire wolves went into those caves to hunt or scavenge Platygonus. Imagine the sounds!!
Also made it to the video, my earlier doodle of the even larger Desmodus draculae feeding on another charismatic Pleistocene mega mammal :B. Probably not the safest host!
Even considering plenty of sabercat papers and Psammophis odysseus which I had the privilege to doodle for the very first time... this nose-picking aye aye study is a very serious contender for my favorite of the year. I mean how can you not love this?y
I'm my defense, I also pioneered the idea of dinosaurs sticking stuff into their noses. In Parasaurolophus' case, the super long tongue for booger removal.
One of Mexico's own dinos, the chasmosaurine Coahuilaceratops magnacuerna! Named for the Mexican state of Coahuila and its large brow horns of course. This doodle was inspired by the skeletal by fellow artist D. Barrera Guevara.
