Another day, another art train! :B @BranArtworks @Kalereops @troodonvet @CorbinRainbolt @dhruvfranklin @CoastalPaleo @udurawane @Carlosdino88 @FabioAleRomero https://t.co/og7ToDCk6z
I feel like this can only be fair if you consider Meg's stats too. https://t.co/82QXAhdloB
Very quick doodle inspired by a very neat discovery- a new parasaurolophine hadrosaur from Mexico! What otherwordly songs did you sing, Tlatolophus? :B #Tlatolophus #dinosaur #cerrodelpueblo
Personally, Machairodus reminds me of the sabertooth tiger from 10.000 BC. Especially now that a couple colossal species are known. https://t.co/ouPHMBcyKH
Apparently it's #InternationalHyenaDay, so have this #Dinocrocuta! This giant hyena roamed Eurasia during the Miocene, hunting rhinos, stealing sabercat kills, and overall being badass. #Hyenas get an unfair rap as cowardly animals but not much would've scared Dinocrocuta!
People be like: Why don´t artists draw megalodon acting like a real, normal shark?
Megalodon: Pukes own stomach.
Also, I will forever defend the idea that megalodons were followed around by a cohort of smaller sharks not unlike smaller sharks today are followed by pilot fish. They would save energy by swimming on the larger shark's wake, and have a feast every time it caught a whale. :B
I meant to have this ready for #WorldFrogDay but oh well. A giant Eocene frog eats a penguin in what will one day be southern Chile. Based on fragmentary remains of a frog maybe 60 cm from snout to vent- quite a bit bigger than Beelzebufo! Also... salt tolerant, perhaps, maybe?
Will someone more shark-knowledgeable than me tell me that we actually do have a way to know that #Aquilolamna was fully grown? Cause I'm here hallucinating giant versions of it and I'm supposed to be working. #aquilolamna #fossilfriday
