All exomatter in Cinder Space is thought to have originated from the roiling maelstrom in the Ophian Furnace. It was utilized first by the Queen of Chains during the Reaving Wars, and then by her successor the Twilight King, both of whom spread collateral exomatter far and wide.

Exomatter is a known building block in the Cinder Gates, refined and channeled in ways that defy all modern comprehension.

Terminus Interstellar pioneered its use in the Skip Drive, making shipboard faster-than-light travel possible; a secret they guard jealously to this day.

Exomatter comes in an incalculable array of forms, from inert hunks of mundane extradimensional iron to highly reactive phases of matter wholly unknown in our universe. Some have inherent properties that would make them miracles on their own. Others are simply dangerous.

The most valuable material in Cinder Space: exomatter.

Material forged in--and bound to the natural laws of--universes not our own, raw exomatter can have violent and unpredictable interactions with baseline reality.
