Pierre-Auguste Cot, Springtime, 1873, oil on canvas
Born Feb. 17, 1837 in Herault, France, Cot made a debut at the Paris Salon in 1863. The Salon was the official art exhibition of the Academy of Beux-Arts in Paris. He parted in the Academic Classicism movement.
