Apparently this is concept art for this place. I REALLY love how it looks here. yeah, i think they just needed something that was stylized a bit better so it all popped more. The idea of a casino built around the trees of a twisted overgrown jungle is pretty good

interesting that Bonkers is one of the more legged up kirby characters. you wouldnt think it, with him being a gorilla. But hes even got jeans on

every big central gimmick in the kirby games from robobot onward have put at least some emphasis on inhibiting or outright removing kirby's ability to hover. Wow! I bet you noticed that. It's a fun fact! That's how they sneak traditional platforming in these games now

@Dededaio oh my god thats kinda cool??? its basically a 3D version of his old merch design before it got updated a few years later. I'm surprised we didnt see more of it!

@jbx9001 @JoJoTheDodo1 People made a huge fuss over the redesign so they only used it very briefly. the design they use now is still really simplified and more vibrant than before but imo its pretty appealing

@graetgalaxy I think the stop motion one had this sort of ugly off beat quirkiness to it. fitting for its era. I get why they changed it but they made it something so GENERIC and TOOTHLESS. this one from like 2014 keeps the freakiness while also updating it which is a happy medium to me
