i also have like a “chibi” style, which is way more low effort, but that one kinda stems from me loving cartoons and illustration as a whole.

considering that my style deviates from what the art world expects black artists to create (think figurative/harlem renaissance) i think it stands out a lot more that all of my characters are black & (generally) diverse in fashion and aesthetic.

a lot of the things i liked as a child were more on the creepy/horror side, but i absolutely hate to be scared, i just like the way scary things look lol. i also like hella cute things so i just mix it in when i can lol
