ESCAPE MOTIONS ARTWORK CONTEST 2023!
@escapemotions has teamed up with some big hitters from the art industry to launch their new art contest, with a collection of prizes worth more than $13,000!

We had the great honour of interviewing Dune and Star Wars concept artist @coliewertz in our latest issue (224). The article is packed full of mesmerising Procreate masterpieces, spaceship and vehicle designs, plus insight and advice into what it takes to be a concept artist.

#tradarttuesday comes from legendary film pencil artist Mark 'Crash' McCreery, who we had the honour of interviewing for issue 189 in August 2020. We featured a range of film art from Crash, including Jurassic Park, Rango, Terminator 2: Judgment Day and loads more.

#tbt to issue 106 (March 2014) when illustrator @wyliebeckert created our mystical cover image and workshop, mixing traditional and Photoshop techniques. Inside, Wylie showed her process from quick thumbnail development and establishing accent colours to creating textures.

What strong, bold vistas by Romanian concept artist and illustrator @georgebrad93 – his colour selection is just out of this world!

#tradarttuesday comes from French illustrator and character designer @mohsqi, who created an in-depth tutorial for us in issue 215. Marcel covered the fundamentals of using watercolour and Indian ink to create a stylised action pose.

This week's #fanartfriday comes from Indonesian illustrator and concept artist @thatjaykart, who painted this gorgeous rendition of Menphina, The Lover, from Final Fantasy XIV!
