HERE IS THE FINISHED ILLUST WITH EDITING!! i went back and fixed a few things/coloring mistakes/rendering over lines etc!
tbh this drawing was really rushed and i couldve done alot better with the rendering, but i love how vibrant the colors are :"o
"yoki!! your eyes are orange!! but there isnt any orange on the gradient map!!"
great question, tiny person in my head that im pretending is you.
ill simply make a new layer, change it to color, and color over it!
PROBLEM SOLVED >:)c
here is the finished illust with only the gradient map and no further editing.
its great, although there are some things we can fix.
VOILA!!
look at her shes so cute.
here, i just rendered over the sketch normally which took me only a few minutes because i didnt do too much!!
OH NO, but as you can see, we still have some errors/mistakes we need to take care of!
if you're one of those people who render over the sketch like me, this is for you! its as simple as rendering on top of everything to polish your drawing and correct incorrect colors.
With that, its as easy as simply coloring over your grayscale piece in order to see results. It might be a bit tricky to work with at first, but so long as you clip the gradient map layer to your grayscale drawing, its easy and manageable. (if i can do it, so can you LMAO)
✨GRADIENT MAP TUTORIAL✨
i've made a tutorial on how to use the gradient map! i recently learned it, and i really recommend it to anyone who struggles with coloring!
THIS TUTORIAL IS AIMED AT CSP USERS, BUT ALOT OF DRAWING PROGRAMS HAVE A SIMILAR FEATURE.
🧵
I URGE OTHER ARTISTS TO USE A GRADIENT MAP FOR COLRING
i did this drawing in under a day, and the coloring in under 1~2 hours saving my ass so i could post it halloween afternoon instead of the next day like i would've had i colored normally
ITS SAVED MY LIFE AND MY COLORS
