That got me thinking.... a lot of AA Soundtrack album art shows the characters playing various instruments, but this one is the only one that shows a character *playing an instrument that they do canonically play*. So like.... can we take the rest of this art to be kinda canon???

Look, it's ridiculous. We've had like... what? *Four* children's cartoons with prominent wlw representation? Two of those were made by queer ladies who had to fight hard to make sure the Gayness of Their Vision wasn't compromised and to get people like them visable on the show

And that segment of the fandom obviously also had an interst in Betty, Simon's lost fiance. At the time we literally only had three images of her but people loved Simon and wanted him to have a super happy ending so they were invested in finding a way to have her around for it

Cookie Cat as a Metaphor for Steven:
* Half Pale-Pink Half Hot-Pink like his Human and Gem Halves but also covered in a dark brown cookie, like Steven''s hair
* Rose Quartz is associated with lions, Steven with the smaller and cuter version of that

‘Steven Universe’ has been described as a sort of ‘Reverse Escapism’, as it is the story about how the Magical and the Fantastic and the Otherworldly falls in love with the Normal and the Mundane and the Ordinary. Because the Ordinary is actually REALLY AMAZING.

Fun Fact! When 'Change Your Mind' aired I actually mentally compared it to 'Come Along With Me' and thinking about how it *couldn't* end with something like 'Time Adventure' and at the time I put it on how SU was in general a bit more serious than Adventure Time
