Today 11th April is the birth anniversary of Late Shri Kundan Lal Saigal.

He was an Indian singer & actor, he was the 1st superstar of the Hindi film industry, which was based in Calcutta during that time.

The bridge connecting the two is the Mangi / Mansi Bridge.

Emperor Jahangir had constructed it in 1626 AD to access Salimgarh from Yamuna bank long before the Red Fort was constructed.
